Advantage helped NYX transform their annual FACE (Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites) Awards competition to achieve important business goals. In short, we helped reimagine the entire show, including overall show event production, narrative, flow, script, stage design, event graphic design (physical and digital) and more. In essence, we gave the show a complete makeover.
In 2018, Advantage’s 4th year of event production and integration support, the show was hosted by marquee industry influencer Patrick Starr at a landmark venue in Los Angeles – the Orpheum Theatre. The 2018 show featured refreshed FACE Awards graphics throughout the theatre and stage design, with additional artwork focusing on NYX’s campaign of inclusivity, “Artistry for All.”
Event activations were designed to further the “Artistry for All” message. A wall of magnets provided dares that guests completed on-site, including taking photos with strangers and offering random compliments. Graphics on mirrors and walls throughout the venue promoted messages of inclusivity. Roaming photo booths and product giveaways provided entertainment to those waiting in line. NYX makeup artists provided touchups around the venue, getting guests ready to walk the “Pink Carpet” throughout the night. And event sponsors, including Target, Redken, Clarisonic and Vichy, distributed samples and were incorporated into signage and the live show.
