Advantage and client, Hyundai Motor America, were named finalists in the Digiday Video Awards for the second season of the “Rolling with the Rookies” campaign. The awards platform recognizes the companies, campaigns and technology using video to modernize media and marketing. The already award-winning “Rolling With The Rookies – Season 2” campaign is nominated in the “Best Multi-Platform Video Campaign” category, which showcases ad campaigns that integrate across two or more video-supported channels (online, social, email, etc.) and successfully drove sales and/or increased audience engagement.
Advantage developed and produced the second season of “Rolling with the Rookies”; a program that included video content, media distribution, social engagement, website build, experiential marketing and a full communication strategy. The series profiled four rookies – Derrius Guice from Louisiana State University, Josh Allen from University of Wyoming, Minkah Fitzpatrick from University of Alabama and Connor Williams from University of Texas – leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft. The video-first campaign provided a platform for Hyundai to leverage their NFL sponsorship during the NFL Draft timeframe. The “Rolling with the Rookies” campaign celebrated the people, places and experiences that forged each of the incoming NFL rookies on their path to professional football.
The campaign was previously awarded “Best Multiplatform Marketing Campaign: Broadcast and/or Cable TV or Web Series” for the second consecutive year at the Cynopsis Model D Awards. The Digiday Video Awards winners will be announced on March 7th at Tribeca 360° in New York City at their annual awards gala. The full list of finalists for the Digiday Video Awards can be found here.
